Warner Bros. a anunțat că începând cu 1 septembrie mmorpg-ul The Lord of the Rings Online, dezvoltat de studiourile Turbine, va deveni free-to-play.
Astfel jucătorii se vor putea bucura de titlul original fără să mai plătească taxă lunară, cei ce doresc să aibă acces la expansion-uri, quest-uri, obiecte sau facilități extra, putând accesa magazinul virtual LOTRO.
